Nurturing Hope & Healing Counseling, LLC
Where hope & healing begin.
Feeling hopeless, discouraged, or at your wits' end? Dealing with relationship issues, grief, loneliness, or stress? Feeling anxious or depressed? Have trauma to heal? Do you need wisdom? Would you like an empathetic ear? Need a counselor to come alongside you? If I am resonating with you, then please do not hesitate to make an appointment. I am available afternoons, evenings and Saturdays to accommodate busy lives. I accept insurance and new clients. I am here to help bear burdens, provide insights, give psycho-education, and earnest counsel.
I am trained to treat trauma and I use Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). As the daughter of a veteran and the wife of a veteran, I enjoy helping veterans reduce the intrusive symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Trauma can result in PTSD from many kinds of experiences. I also like to help law enforcement and medical personnel to recover from PTSD, since I too, worked as a federal police officer and EMT in my previous career. In addition, I can provide Biblically-based Christian Counseling services upon request.
Owner of this Private Practice &
Licensed Professional Counselor
Hi! My name is Mrs. Rebekah René Stearns, and I would like to share a little about myself. I am a married mother of five; two adults and three teenagers. I have been married for nearly 20 years. Two of my children were recently adopted from a Ukrainian special needs orphanage. I have been homeschooling my children since 2002, while simultaneously completing my college education. I am currently pursuing a doctorate. I grew up in various states as a military brat. My husband is also a veteran. So I have lived in seven states (e.g., Idaho, Alaska, California, Georgia, Rhode Island, Mississippi, and Massachusetts). Prior to becoming a counselor, I worked as a U.S. Customs Inspector on the Yukon and Alaska border. Spiritually speaking, I am a Bible-believing Christian, and I am trained to provide Christian Counseling services upon request. I like to sing, quilt, and go on adventures.
