Welcome

In 2018, I opened the doors to my clinic with the goal of providing patients in Nampa with top-of-the-line mental health services. Whether you’re looking for a bit of counseling or need professional assistance overcoming a traumatic experience - your wellbeing is my number one priority. I go above and beyond to cater to the needs of every client with my personalized services.

I am trained to treat trauma using treatments such as Narrative Exposure Therapy (NET) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT).  I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level 1 & 2 (CCTP/CCTP-II).

In addition, I can provide Biblically-based Christian Counseling services upon request.

About Me

Licensed Professional Counselor

Hi!  My name is Mrs. Rebekah René Stearns, and I would like to share a little about myself.  I was born in California but moved to Idaho when I was three.  I have lived in seven different states (e.g., Alaska, California, Georgia, Idaho, Massachusetts, Mississippi, and Rhode Island).  I am the oldest of seven children.  My father served in the Idaho Air National Guard at Gowen Field, and my mother stayed-at-home and homeschooled us for our early formative years.

As an adult, I met and married my husband in Alaska, who previously served in the Coast Guard on Base Kodiak Alaska as a damage control man.  While living in Alaska, I served as a U.S. Customs Inspector on the Yukon and Alaska border.  We moved from Alaska to Massachusetts in 2006 to be near my husband's father.  Then our family moved from the New England area to Idaho in early 2014 to help care for my father, who was dying of cancer.  We decided to stay in Idaho since my mother and most of my siblings live in the area.

I am a proud mother of five, and I have homeschooled my children since my firstborn son was in preschool (he is now a full-time college student, gainfully employed, and recently engaged).   Currently, we have two adults out of the nest and three teenagers at home.  We recently adopted from a Ukrainian special needs orphanage, and we are currently adopting another teenaged orphan from Ukraine. We hope to be his forever family by summer 2021 For fun, I like to sing, quilt, and go on adventures.

Ever since I was young, I knew I wanted to become a counselor and get into a career path that would bring hope into people’s lives.  This interest led me to study psychology and eventually become a licensed professional counselor in Idaho. As a licensed therapist in the greater Nampa area, I am committed to and truly care for all of my clients and work diligently to help find them the answers they seek. I have worked with various clients dealing with circumstances that are unique to their lives, and I love to help them progress towards hope and healing.
